Rare - Similar to PPE for surfaces, these low-linting poly-backed pads feature layers of activated charcoal that not only absorb liquid hazardous drugs, but also deactivate active pharmaceutical ingredients upon contact, including cyclophosphamide and fluorouracil.
Limits Exposure - Hazardous drugs are rendered inactive after absorption, which helps reduce the negative health effects that occur upon coming into contact with them.
Versatile - Can be used anywhere hazardous drugs are handled. Ideal for use in the Receiving room, on a transport cart or pharmacy shelf, in non-sterile compounding areas and similar locations where drugs may leak, spill or spray.
